Reid Bailey is an award-winning writer-director and media producer currently based in Porto, Portugal. Over a twenty-year career in US broadcast and government media — including production work for the Pentagon Channel and the Department of Defense — he developed the full-spectrum production discipline that defines his approach to storytelling: research, write, shoot, deliver, start again.

His screenplay work has earned recognition at international festivals including the International Horror Hotel and the VIP Film Summit, where he took Best Overall Pitch in 2018. As writer-director and co-producer of She Fell — an 8-minute proof of concept featuring Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul, Veronica Mars) alongside a cast of established US television and film actors — he demonstrated his ability to attract professional talent and deliver polished, festival-ready work independently. The film placed as a Finalist at Shriekfest 2019 and earned Official Selection at Nightmares Film Festival and Sin City Horror Fest.

Now five years into life in Porto, Bailey has built genuine roots in the Portuguese media and production community. He maintains an active local crew network, established relationships across the region's cultural and business landscape, and a working knowledge of the specific rhythms of doing business in Portugal. His current micro-drama projects — Burlesque Vampire Hunters and The Scarlet Veil — are set in European cities and written from the inside out.

He is developing original vertical micro-drama series for international streaming platforms, with a production partner bringing twenty years of US reality television experience to the collaboration.
